• The history of the SL Dumpster
[12:15] Lothar Apfelbaum: hi
[12:15] Dunn Bing: hey there
[12:15] Lothar Apfelbaum: how are you?
[12:15] Dunn Bing: fine so far how about you?
[12:15] Lothar Apfelbaum: I just got here…dumped a few prairie flowers and a chair…
[12:16] Dunn Bing: i left the billboard here. its quite rusty
Lothar steps back and looks at the billboard. He remembers that a couple of weeks ago, when he started working at the dumpster, he had trashed a copy of the same billboard. But in contrast to Dunn Lothar had taken the structure completely apart before he attached the decay script to the individual parts. He had distorted the main column, rotated the advertisement panels, stretched the catwalk, tilted the guardrails, changed the flat surface of some metal pieces into bumpy looking metal pieces, etc.
Dunn on the other hand never took things apart before she attached the decay script. Nor did Relder Waco. Nobody did, except Tempo Strom sometimes. “How can they resist?” Lothar wondered. But then…why did Lothar do it? It felt neither destructive, nor constructive. What was the point again?
[12:17] Lothar Apfelbaum: where did you get it?
[12:17] Dunn Bing: it was a freebie
[12:17] Lothar Apfelbaum: wow, our neighbors seem to have a crazy party
[12:17] Dunn Bing: yes. noticed that earlier
In December 2007 time a couple of German speaking avatars had purchased the parcels that border the South side of the dumpster. Since then they had gone through different stages of displaying an entertainment park/club/shopping center that included old fashioned looking train rides featuring a violet steam locomotive, bars, slot machines, a Bavarian looking cottage with flower boxes, a tatoo shop, a red and white striped lighthouse with a rotating beacon, to name only a few of the attractions. Where, until a couple of days ago the train station for the model train had been, six or seven people in long dark dresses and wigs were dancing like wild witches on the Bloxberg.
[12:18] Lothar Apfelbaum: have you met them yet?
[12:18] Dunn Bing: no. i was over there once. terrible music tho
[12:18] Lothar Apfelbaum: do you think, they are dummies, or “real” avatars
[12:18] Dunn Bing: those are real avatars.
[12:18] Lothar Apfelbaum: are you sure?
[12:18] Dunn Bing: they were chatting. But they are strange personalities…. a mixture of goth and punk…
[12:18] Lothar Apfelbaum: Once I went over there and sitting on a blanket on the ground was a group of about six avatars. It looked like they had a picnic… but when I got close I noticed that they were all paid by the hour to be there looking like having a picnic. There was no one “behind” them
[12:19] Dunn Bing: those over there are not
[12:19] Lothar Apfelbaum: how do you know?
[12:19] Dunn Bing: they are just dancing for fun. i was there watching them.
[12:19] Lothar Apfelbaum: did you talk to them?
[12:20] Dunn Bing: no, although they are Germans
[12:20] Lothar Apfelbaum: yes, I've heard them shout sometimes…Tschuessie
[12:20] Dunn Bing: :D
[12:20] Lothar Apfelbaum: Dunn, I think they are paid dummies. I am flying over quickly. I need to know…
[12:21] Dunn Bing: lets take a closer look
Lothar and Dunn arrive in the middle of the dance party.
[12:22] Lothar Apfelbaum: hi. can we dance with you?
[12:22] Kerliar Allen: Heyah Lothar ;o)
[12:22] Miruxa Pera: Hi Lothar
[12:22] Kerliar Allen: Sure, just use the red ball above the dance floor and turn on the music
[12:23] Dunn Bing: hit it lothar
[12:23] Lothar Apfelbaum: sure?
[12:23] Dunn Bing: sure
Now, since he has figured out that this is for real, Lothar does not feel like dancing at all.
[12:23] Miruxa Pera: hier muss ne Plantage sein
[12:23] Kerliar Allen: this rotating skull
[12:23] Miruxa Pera: hI dUNN
[12:23] Dunn Bing: hey, wieso ne plantage?
[12:23] Miruxa Pera: +nicht zu gekommen lol
[12:23] Miruxa Pera: wrong lol
Dunn jumps on the rotating skull that hovers above the group and spins around. Lothar thinks, that she is very smart in making the best out of the situation. She doesn't dance, but joins in for a little while. Lothar on the other hand just intensifies the uncomfortable feelings he has witnessing this dancing, by standing around like a stick not knowing what to do next.
[12:24] Dunn Bing: wohoo :D
[12:24] Lothar Apfelbaum: haha
[12:24] Kerliar Allen: two appletrees here ;o)
[12:24] Dunn Bing: phew.. my heads turnin…
[12:25] Lothar Apfelbaum: cool, shall we go back?
[12:25] Dunn Bing: sure..
[12:25] Lothar Apfelbaum: ok, thanks guys, see you soon….
[12:25] Dunn Bing: see you later
They fly back to the dumpster.
[12:26] Dunn Bing: see.. just as i told you..
[12:26] Lothar Apfelbaum: you were right, they are “real”
[12:26] Dunn Bing: have u seen the shops in the background?
[12:26] Lothar Apfelbaum: no. what are they?
[12:26] Dunn Bing: you can see them from here, u can get clothes in their style..
[12:27] Lothar Apfelbaum: mh…I am not a shopper…
[12:27] Dunn Bing: nore am i. don't got money for that and prefer wearing my own things
[12:27] Lothar Apfelbaum: you are such a good designer anyway…
[12:28] Dunn Bing: awh.. im just a beginner
[12:28] Lothar Apfelbaum: which brings us back again to the “skirt tutorial”
[12:28] Dunn Bing: did u succeed?
[12:28] Lothar Apfelbaum: well…
[12:28] Dunn Bing: show me what u got..
[12:28] Lothar Apfelbaum: did not even start.
[12:28] Dunn Bing: awh. lack of time hm?
[12:28] Lothar Apfelbaum: yes, I got a time problem….I told you about that…
[12:28] Dunn Bing: but you know what… time will come..
[12:29] Lothar Apfelbaum: cool….
[12:29] Dunn Bing: just dont forget about it
[12:29] Lothar Apfelbaum: And you, did you think about the pit?
[12:29] Dunn Bing: ..little.. but without answer yet..
[12:29] Lothar Apfelbaum: ok then, we keep the pit-skirt-story pending - like a jingle, that comes up every time we see each other…
[12:29] Dunn Bing: hehe
Out of nowhere Dunn pulls out a tent-like structure and places it next to the yellow tank, that holds the fort since almost three weeks probably following the captain's last orders to “whatever happens next - resist decay”.
Because it's round, the tent looks like the yurt. And because it's so skinny it looks like it's made for a single nomad household.
[12:30] Lothar Apfelbaum: oh, is that a mediation room?
[12:30] Dunn Bing: yes
[12:30] Lothar Apfelbaum: Can one go in?
[12:30] Dunn Bing: yes. click the pink ball and “sit” or “meditate”.
Still standing outside the tent, Lothar clicks the pink ball that hovers behind the semi-transparent green fabric and automatically sits on a round green pillow…crossing his legs, putting his hands in prayer position, focusing his bulging eyes on infinity, taking a deep breath, exhaling through the nose…
[12:30] Dunn Bing: There you go
[12:31] Lothar Apfelbaum: how do I meditate?
[12:31] Dunn Bing: you already do
[12:31] Lothar Apfelbaum: may be I look like I do…
[12:31] Dunn Bing: oh..thats how ur question was meant like….well..try to divorce body and soul.”Divide” might be the better word. Forget about your body, about your desires..
[12:32] Lothar Apfelbaum: how do I do that?
[12:33] Dunn Bing: take a journey into the deeps of your mind
[12:33] Lothar Apfelbaum: why should I do that? I don't have much body feeling to begin with…nothing to separate from…
[12:33] Dunn Bing: ..hm.. good point..
[12:33] Lothar Apfelbaum: my body never hurts, I am never hungry, I don't even look tired, even though I could fall asleep right now , right here, right away.
[12:34] Dunn Bing: well.. meditation is nonsense then..
[12:34] Lothar Apfelbaum: no, I don't think so…one just has to find a new way to do it in this world
[12:34] Dunn Bing: okay..
[12:34] Lothar Apfelbaum: since we don't have bodies anymore…
[12:35] Dunn Bing: ..i will meditate about that..
[12:35] You: right now?
[12:35] Dunn Bing: no.. later..
While he is still sitting there, not being able to meditate but enjoying the rest, the meditation room, including the pillow he is sitting on disappear abruptly. Turtle time is up. Session over.
[12:35] Dunn Bing: let me show u something else..We need the space again…step aside..
Dunn drags out a bigger, more cube-like version of the meditation room, she had shown before and places right in front of the tank gun.
[12:36] Lothar Apfelbaum: is that a temple?
[12:37] Dunn Bing: kinda. yes. can you hear the music?
[12:37] Lothar Apfelbaum: yes
[12:37] Dunn Bing: sometimes a wind passes by..and at night.. there are wolves howling..
Lothar follows Dunn inside.
[12:38] Lothar Apfelbaum: nice in here
[12:38] Dunn Bing: hoped you would like it
[12:38] Lothar Apfelbaum: nice with the fire in the middle. Where do you get the wood from to keep the fire running?
[12:39] Dunn Bing: i just cut some trash from the dumpster in smaller pieces..oh.. did u hear the wind?
[12:39] Lothar Apfelbaum: yes
[12:39] Dunn Bing: it's a little too loud..
[12:39] You: did you make the music?
[12:39] Dunn Bing: yes. every noise in here. well.. no..i did not “make” them those are freebies. I just put them in
Lothar clicks on a “get comfy ball” that hovers above one of the green pillows that lie on the ground around the fire. The lower part of his legs disappear, he has no idea where to, but hopes that they are somehow ok in the fluffiness of the pillows.
[12:40] Lothar Apfelbaum: it's very relaxing
[12:40] Dunn Bing: that was my idea …. okay.. the wind is more silent now.. ..and more rare. Can you hear?
[12:41] Lothar Apfelbaum: sounds like wind at the ocean
[12:41] Dunn Bing: yes.. but there is no ocean around..so it has to be the wind of the magics.. try the other seats
Lothar clicks on one of the other seats which brings him into an even more relaxed position.
[12:42] Lothar Apfelbaum: sweet
[12:43] Dunn Bing: do you think i should put something on the grass?.. to hide it..
[12:43] Lothar Apfelbaum: to hide what?
[12:43] Dunn Bing: the ground..
[12:44] Lothar Apfelbaum: no, I like that fabric
[12:44] Dunn Bing: well.. me too.. ..
[12:44] Lothar Apfelbaum: it's the same as your dress, isn't it?
[12:44] Dunn Bing: it is.. But i meant the places without fabric. should I cover them?
[12:44] Lothar Apfelbaum: you mean the ground outside of the tent?
[12:45] Dunn Bing: no.. still inside..the fabric we are on now is round. So at the side is still the original ground..
[12:45] Lothar Apfelbaum: ah I see
[12:45] Dunn Bing: i was wondering if should put some fabrics over there too
[12:46] Lothar Apfelbaum: yes, that would be nice
[12:46] Dunn Bing: okay.. i will adjust that then..
[12:46] Lothar Apfelbaum: can u sit next to me again? I do a little filming
[12:47] Dunn Bing: where? To your left or right?
[12:47] Lothar Apfelbaum: right
[12:48] Dunn Bing: i think we should do the filming during the night
[12:49] Lothar Apfelbaum: why?
[12:49] Dunn Bing: because its more… moody then..and it might be cool if there are even more people..
[12:49] Lothar Apfelbaum: looks like evening to me in here. But you are right about more people …would be cool to have a sound guy with a fluffy boom, and a gaffa girl wearing black jeans and a wife beater shirt, and a director in a cotton suit with sweat patches under his arms, some low carb catering outside…
[12:49] Dunn Bing: the fire is more impressive during the night
[12:50] Lothar Apfelbaum: it's such a funny animation… the fire
[12:50] Dunn Bing: like it too.. And do you like the torches? think they fit in here?
[12:53] Lothar Apfelbaum: yes, very much…can I fall asleep?
When Lothar tries to close his reptile eyes it hurts. How can they make eyes with sharp edges?
And then, why are there are no fixtures available for those eyes. Not that Lothar wants to integrate them more into his facial structure, he likes that they are sticking out, but what if they suddenly fall out? That would be embarrassing. What holds them in place? There is definitely no cord or nerve connection that would prevent them from dropping all the way to the ground getting dirty. This makes Lothar think of a story, he once read on the Internet. That's how Lothar remembers the story.
[12:53] Dunn Bing: oh.. have u noticed the torches outside?
[12:53] Lothar Apfelbaum: no
[12:53] Dunn Bing: right at the entrance?
[12:53] Lothar Apfelbaum: ok…shall we take a look?
[12:53] Dunn Bing: yes please. im kinda proud of those..
They go outside again, look at the torches.
[12:55] Lothar Apfelbaum: they look like hearts…or kidneys some kind of inner organ that consists of a brown flesh…
[12:55] Dunn Bing: they are. okay.. lets do something else..
Lothar goes back into the tent, sits down on one of the pillows, takes some pictures, films a little. He knows, if he does not document the place now, he won't get another chance. Once they leave this tent, Dunn will probably remove it immediately. She is very reliable in not wasting any dumpster space for objects she has just built and which therefore are not up for decay yet. Lothar likes that about Dunn. For a dumpster girl she is really clean.
[13:00] Dunn Bing: wake up lothar
[13:00] Lothar Apfelbaum: nap time is over already?
[13:00] Dunn Bing: just for the moment
[13:01] Lothar Apfelbaum: just to let u know…I am slow…but sometimes I must appear to be even slower… because I am filming the whole time, looking for camera angles, pressing the “record button” , the “stop button”…
[13:01] Dunn Bing: thats okay
Why does Lothar always has to point out that he films, constantly has to ask: Is it ok that I film? No one ever seemed to care. Everyone always just says: “sure”, or “go ahead” when asked for permission. As if it would not make a difference at all, as if by default, an avatar does not have any privacy issues.
But here he is again, Lothar the superstitious missionary, having a hard time to surpress this elementary school teacher's urge to educate other avatars that there might be a difference between “real” and “mediated” experiences in Second Life, … as if…by some weired coincidence… some people operating avatars in Second Life are members of a primitive tribe who, while walking barefoot and in grass skirts through the jungle, stumbled across this white Apple laptop, that had fallen out of the backpack of a careless American anthropologist. Curious, of what it could be, the tribesmen took the laptop up into their tree house, managed to open it, were attracted by the SL icon on the desktop, clicked on it and since then… play “uneducated” and completely “unaware” of the fact, that there are avatars out there, like Lothar himself, who are constantly taking pictures, and may be, according to the beliefs of these tribesmen are “stealing souls” by doing so.
[13:01] Dunn Bing: i've never seen any of your movies yet
[13:02] Lothar Apfelbaum: I think, you'll be one of the main characters in the next one. next to Relder Waco and Tempo Strom and all the trash…
[13:02] Dunn Bing: that will be fun
[13:02] Lothar Apfelbaum: I hope so…
[13:02] Dunn Bing: is it with storyline? or improvisation?
[13:03] Lothar Apfelbaum: as you can guess…more improvisational
[13:03] Dunn Bing: what is the general concept? or is the concept that there is none?
[13:03] Lothar Apfelbaum: no, there is a concept…
[13:04] Dunn Bing: tell me about it
[13:04] Lothar Apfelbaum: it is not fully thought through to put it in words yet…What do you think the movie will be about?
[13:04] Dunn Bing: the dumpster
[13:04] Lothar Apfelbaum: ok
[13:04] Dunn Bing: like a documentary?
[13:05] Lothar Apfelbaum: yes, like a documentary. I think there will be three main strings.
[13:05] Dunn Bing: three main strings flowing together?
[13:05] Lothar Apfelbaum: probably on three different screens…some kind of multi-channel thing
[13:06] Dunn Bing: like the idea. do u already have a title?
[13:06] Lothar Apfelbaum: “SL Dumpster”
[13:06] Dunn Bing: creative
[13:06] Lothar Apfelbaum: very straightforward
[13:06] Dunn Bing: :D
[13:07] Lothar Apfelbaum: if you can think of a better title…I am open
[13:07] Dunn Bing: well no.. i think “SL Dumpster” is good at first sight but u might give it a second line
[13:07] Lothar Apfelbaum: like what?
[13:07] Dunn Bing: the endless end
[13:08] Lothar Apfelbaum:: u are right. it's kind of endless. Sometimes it feels overwhelming to me…constantly overflowing, uncontrollable, unmanageable even though it's all programmed, planned, applied for, even funded…
[13:08] Dunn Bing:
Lothar decides to skip mentioning the Goethe poem that pops into his mind when he thinks of “overflow”. The Sorcerer's Apprentice. But just in case… here is a link to it.
[13:09] Lothar Apfelbaum:: I always love coming here … and look around how the place has changed again…
[13:09] Dunn Bing: every time seeing new things, yes. But i also got times, where I am missing older things..
[13:09] Lothar Apfelbaum:: really? like what?
[13:09] Dunn Bing: for example….as i first came here, there was a huuuge sign with a woman with blond hair and a pink hat..the board itself was black..
[13:10] Lothar Apfelbaum:: I remember that
[13:10] Dunn Bing: that took a very long time to decay
[13:11] Lothar Apfelbaum:: yes….it took forever. To me that was annoying…
[13:11] Dunn Bing: and… to me, it became like a symbol for the dumpster..it was always here since i was here, but now its gone.
[13:11] Lothar Apfelbaum: oh…I think I have photo of it somewhere…I could look through my photo album and send u a picture of it if you want
[13:12] Dunn Bing: that would be great
[13:12] Lothar Apfelbaum: next time I'll see you I'll give it to you
[13:12] Dunn Bing: thanks lothar
[13:12] Lothar Apfelbaum: to me…nothing stood out…
[13:13] Dunn Bing: not even one thing?
[13:13] Lothar Apfelbaum: I know, it's strange….I liked many of the things that decayed here…
but I felt never more connected to one thing, than to another…
[13:13] Dunn Bing: hey.. im just recognizing that you jacket is German..! sry for interrupting..
[13:14] Lothar Apfelbaum: no, it's good that you are interrupting me…if I keep talking down this road…. it usually gets boring pretty fast…Yes that jacket… got it from a freebie place
[13:14] Dunn Bing: oh no. talking is never boring, nor listening
[13:15] Lothar Apfelbaum:: at least not to you.
[13:15] Dunn Bing:
[13:15] Lothar Apfelbaum: ok, I am going to dump a few more things…. do my duty for a little while Is that ok?
[13:15] Dunn Bing: sure. Have i mentioned that i liked your writings about our journey to the samurai fighters?
Dunn refers to the Jan.8,2008 entry.
[13:16] Lothar Apfelbaum: oh, really? you liked it?
[13:16] Dunn Bing: yes! I am amazed how you are thinking about other people's thoughts…your little journey as a grandpa in the river..great
[13:17] Lothar Apfelbaum: ehm, yes… I hope I made clear, that what I said about you was just my own pure imagination
[13:17] Dunn Bing: u did
[13:17] Lothar Apfelbaum: cool.
[13:17] Dunn Bing: and even if not.. i knew..
[13:17] Lothar Apfelbaum: I am very glad you like it…Would you like to write on that blog too?
[13:17] Dunn Bing: if i want to write there too?.. hm..im afraid i will dump it..
[13:18] Lothar Apfelbaum: you don't have to decide now, or anything. I just wanted to put it out there as an option…in case you feel misrepresented by what I imagine you to be…
[13:18] Dunn Bing: thank you
Lothar imagines, that Dunn imagines, what Lothar, imagines her to be.
[13:18] Dunn Bing: hey! look our neighbors now!
[13:18] Lothar Apfelbaum:can I ask you something?
[13:19] Dunn Bing: hm?
[13:19] Lothar Apfelbaum: the way, I described the river on the log…how it was built…was that correct?
[13:19] Dunn Bing: im not sure. I was wondering the same thing at another spot
[13:20] Lothar Apfelbaum: where?
[13:20] Dunn Bing: see our neighbors with the castle?
[13:20] Lothar Apfelbaum: yes… I was there…their river looks different though
[13:20] Dunn Bing: lets fly over there
[13:20] Lothar Apfelbaum: ok
They fly to the East border of the dumpster. Lothar remembers how it had been a great surprise to him, when in the morning of January 18th,2008 upon arrival at the dumpster, the East side had completely changed. Instead of being bordered by flat emptiness that somewhere far in the distance ended in a super straight horizon line, since January 18,2008 the East side was now tightened and secured by an impressive, impermeable looking wall of rocky mountain cliff that was crowned by a solid castle and a strong river to its side. Fortunately the wall stone texture looked “natural”, almost as if put there by mother nature herself, therefore eliminating the notion that this could be an attempt to make people on the dumpster feel like being in a medieval prison cell. Wasn't it even possible, that because the dumpster had, mainly due to the 24/7 enslavement of the two camera men, relatively high avatar traffic rates, real estate value in the area had gone up? After all, the new neighbors with the castle and the clean river and all, looked like very rich people. Why would they otherwise build this paradise next to a dumpster?
[13:21] Dunn Bing: it is more flawless
[13:21] Lothar Apfelbaum: is this one big piece?
[13:21] Dunn Bing: no its not. right click it on different spots…then you see, it's built from different parts
[13:22] Lothar Apfelbaum: but the texture seems connected
[13:22] Dunn Bing: yes.. might be a timing issue..
[13:23] Lothar Apfelbaum: There are probably textures available that “connect”
[13:23] Dunn Bing: that might be. never heard about those tho..would be fun playing around with them
[13:24] Lothar Apfelbaum: remember the first river, where we have been together…I went back and went into it…
[13:24] Dunn Bing: yes
[13:24] Lothar Apfelbaum: It was made out of very thin sheets. from underneath it looked like I was in a cardboard tunnel with a top layer of light blue bubble wrap or something…
[13:24] Dunn Bing: a poor river..
[13:25] Lothar Apfelbaum: yes. Have you been other exciting places?
[13:25] Dunn Bing: i was at some beautiful places.. yes..but more randomly..
[13:26] Lothar Apfelbaum: are there other dumpsters out there?
[13:26] Dunn Bing: no.. never saw one yet..There are so called “sandboxes” where people come and build, but those are cleared like every 2 hours..
[13:26] Lothar Apfelbaum: shall we try a forest… I heard that there are really beautiful forests one can go to
[13:27] Dunn Bing: really? I looooove forests! I dream of a city of tree houses with wooden bridges connecting them
[13:27] Lothar Apfelbaum: first, we should go to our neighbors little patch…. he has cute mushrooms, old trees and stuff
They fly straight Westward. The parcel that directly touches the border of the dumpster in this direction is still empty…while about two weeks ago, the one right behind it had turned into a forest.
[13:29] Dunn Bing: i like this one. like a port to another dimension
[13:29] Lothar Apfelbaum: it's cute right? Can you hear the birds?
[13:29] Dunn Bing: yes I wonder if the mushrooms are dangerous ones..
[13:30] Lothar Apfelbaum: with mushrooms I would be careful
[13:30] Dunn Bing: have u noticed that we got a “health-status” on this land?
[13:30] Lothar Apfelbaum: what is a “health status?
[13:30] Dunn Bing: the little heart on top of your screen.. in the middle.. there should be a 100% to its side..
[13:31] Lothar Apfelbaum: yes I got 100%
[13:31] Dunn Bing: i bet it will lower if we try the mushrooms
[13:31] Lothar Apfelbaum: what does that refer to?
[13:31] Dunn Bing: if we would draw swords now we can kill each other or be killed by anyone else
[13:32] Lothar Apfelbaum: in the middle of this romantic forest…you think of your swords and killers
[13:32] Dunn Bing: that is the trick of those people. They build lovely areas just to make people .. friendly ones..like you and me come here and then..
[13:32] Lothar Apfelbaum: you mean, there are killers hiding behind these bushes?
[13:32] Dunn Bing: well.. we should at least be careful..
[13:33] Lothar Apfelbaum: see, that's why I like to go on trips with you…. when I am going by myself, I usually feel shitty afterwards
[13:33] Dunn Bing: huh? why is that?
[13:34] Lothar Apfelbaum: I don't see so well, because there is no depth in the places I go to. Everything appears to be on the same level. There is not much contrast either. Everything is kind of flat, hard to orientate myself… People get annoyed because I am too slow to understand their rules, or too ignorant…then they become rude…
[13:34] Dunn Bing: hm. I made the same experience..most people are harsh in here..
[13:35] Lothar Apfelbaum: really? even with you?
[13:35] Dunn Bing: once they notice that i will not follow to those sex-places… yes..
[13:36] Lothar Apfelbaum: I guess, that's the problem when you make yourself look very cute…Anyway….I wish a deer would come out behind the tree right now. BAMBI looking for his mom…
[13:36] Dunn Bing: yes . That would be great! Lets go on a little..
[13:36] Lothar Apfelbaum: yes, let's look around. hey, here is a book. can we read it?
[13:37] Dunn Bing: it gives u a list with every book by this autor. Is autor an english word?
[13:38] Lothar Apfelbaum: I think it's spelled author
[13:38] Dunn Bing: oh.. okay..
[13:40] Lothar Apfelbaum: wow. big spiderwebs over there. I like this place…
[13:41] Dunn Bing: i like the sun shining through the leaves
[13:41] Lothar Apfelbaum: may be we could put on some deer outfits and volunteer as Bambi and Bombi on weekends…
[13:42] Dunn Bing: :D. One thing i dont like about this place… have u noticed the security.system in the building?
[13:42] Lothar Apfelbaum: which building?
[13:42] Dunn Bing: the one on top with the book and the glasses
[13:43] Lothar Apfelbaum: no, show me
[13:43] Dunn Bing: there was e high-end system destroying the harmony. there it is
Dunn refers to the florescent green rectangle on the white panel
[13:44] Lothar Apfelbaum: what does it do?
[13:44] Dunn Bing: i dont know. nothing so far. lets keep walking..
[13:45] Dunn Bing: could you punch me?
[13:45] Lothar Apfelbaum: How can I punch you?
[13:46] Dunn Bing: u might have an animation
[13:46] Lothar Apfelbaum: I have my foot kick you gave me once. But with that I would kick you in your face.
[13:46] Dunn Bing: do that. Won't feel bad about it
[13:46] Lothar Apfelbaum: for what?
[13:46] Dunn Bing: i want you to do this to see if my health lowers
[13:46] Lothar Apfelbaum: ok.
Using the kong fu animation Dunn gave him once, Lothar tries to kick her in the face. It takes him a while to aim his foot. While he is adjusting his kick position he wonders, if he should not have agreed to kick her, stick to his non-violent, parental, boring principles, as he had done last time, when Dunn had asked him to shoot her with an arrow.
Suddenly Dunn is in a cloud of green smoke, jumping up and down, running him over. It's probably some kind of defense mechanism that got released when he finally kicked her.
[13:48] Dunn Bing: did i hurt you?
[13:48] Lothar Apfelbaum: in the same way my foot kick has hurt you, I guess
[13:48] Dunn Bing: well.. i did not then..
[13:49] Lothar Apfelbaum: no it didn't, I still have 100 percent health. Let's walk. I have to log off soon and need a little exercise before that.
[13:50] Dunn Bing: yes
[13:51] Lothar Apfelbaum: oh, did you see the sunlight there?
[13:51] Dunn Bing: yes
[13:51] Lothar Apfelbaum: why don't they have any animals here? Butterflies, rabbits, birds, worms, foxes…
[13:51] Dunn Bing: they probably would be afraid…
[13:52] Lothar Apfelbaum: Dunn, I wanna have a haircut like this tree
[13:52] Dunn Bing: :D . Really?
[13:53] Lothar Apfelbaum: Yes, may be i would like to become a tree even. It seems to be less stressful to be a tree [13:53] Dunn Bing: awh..
[13:53] Lothar Apfelbaum: you just stand there and things come to you…. leaves, flowers, fruits, birds, bugs…
[13:53] Dunn Bing: i might build a tree outfit for us
[13:53] Lothar Apfelbaum: oh, that would be great. I would like to be a tree like that. a weeping willow
[13:54] Dunn Bing: but you have to give me your shape then, so that i can make it fit
[13:54] Lothar Apfelbaum: my shape?
[13:54] Dunn Bing: yes
[13:54] Lothar Apfelbaum: my body shape?
[13:54] Dunn Bing: right
[13:55] Lothar Apfelbaum: but I change my body shape every day. I have a personality, but no fixed body shape.
[13:55] Dunn Bing: decide for one.. for whenever you want to be a tree..
[13:55] Lothar Apfelbaum: ok. take this one then
Dunn walks over to an object that looks like a petrified fire fountain.
[13:56] Dunn Bing: i will build something like this right here too. love its presence
[13:56] Lothar Apfelbaum: me too. It's very calming
[13:56] Dunn Bing: yes
[13:57] Lothar Apfelbaum: I almost like it better than the “fire” you had in your temple. This seems more honest, more true…it feels like frozen fire…it does not pretend to be alive.
[13:57] Dunn Bing: yes. fits better..lets go on
[13:57] Lothar Apfelbaum: you go first. I follow you
[13:58] Dunn Bing: Is that a trap above us?
[13:58] Lothar Apfelbaum: could be….
[13:58] Dunn Bing: might be for putting in candles at night
[13:59] Lothar Apfelbaum: if that's for candles at night, they could use it as a snack dispenser during the day…to reenergize the hungry wanderer that passes by
[13:59] Dunn Bing: :D. That might explain why there are no birds around
[13:59] Lothar Apfelbaum: true. they just play midi files of bird sounds… bunch of cheap fakers
[14:00] Dunn Bing: yes :P
They pass by an iron bed on a platform. Dunn lies down on it and scratches her leg.
[14:01] Lothar Apfelbaum: did you just scratch your leg?
[14:01] Dunn Bing: looked like that
[14:01] Lothar Apfelbaum: how strange…
[14:01] Dunn Bing: now, im holding my head
She holds her head.
[14:01] Lothar Apfelbaum: you look like a celebrity, like like a diva.
[14:01] Dunn Bing: thank you. I might get my sunglasses.. to prevent myself from paparazzis
[14:02] Lothar Apfelbaum: If I could figure out that “sword” thing and become more quick and sophisticated in identifying danger, I could be your bodyguard
[14:02] Dunn Bing: i dont want u as my bodyguard
[14:03] Lothar Apfelbaum: ha… i can see that…
[14:03] Dunn Bing: i prefer you as a friend
[14:03] Lothar Apfelbaum: oh, thanks…let's go some ugly place now… I am getting tired of this forest.
They get up in the air and start flying westward. A steep wall separates the enchanted forest patch from the next theme park which is covered with houses that are all owned by “big Hyon” from “Furor Estates”. If you want to rent from “big Huyn” you can contact his General Manager Neli Maddaloni. “She will be able to help you with anything to do with rental” and it probably will be her pleasure to assist you in making an informed decision, which of the two available types of houses are best suited for your taste, your spacial needs and your financial possibilities. There is Type #1, a “low prim Villa with three floors” that has curved skylights as a roof and two balconies on the front and back side of the building. Type #2 is the “new Cream Country - 23 prim” from the collection damani-ultraloprim. It's made out of bricks that are hold together by a wooden frame. The roof is pitched and shingled. Each gable features another Bavarian country style ornamentation that is probably in a smaller version also available as a complimentary body tatoo, in case you rent the house. Lothar, followed by Dunn, walking along the edge, wonders who would rent apartments in these houses, when but suddenly his feet loose grip and he starts falling…
[14:04] Dunn Bing: lothar?
[14:04] Lothar Apfelbaum shouts: Dunn, I fell down
[14:04] Dunn Bing shouts: where are you now?
[14:05] Lothar Apfelbaum: I am drowning in an ocean of empty houses
[14:05] Lothar Apfelbaum: here you are.
[14:05] Dunn Bing: found you . Look, a kitchen. I wonder if we find some to eat in there
[14:05] Lothar Apfelbaum: that's so pretentious…but let's check
Having probably a little too much confidence in the power and forcefulness of the physical side of her body, Dunn flies full speed against the wooden door of the house. The door does not move at all. Dunn bounces back.
[14:06] Dunn Bing: uhm
[14:06] Lothar Apfelbaum: did you ring the bell?
[14:06] Dunn Bing: yes. but they dont want us in
[14:06] Lothar Apfelbaum: they are probably not home
[14:06] Dunn Bing: looks like they are selling those houses. oh. there is someone else.
[14:07] Lothar Apfelbaum: probably a real estate person.
[14:07] Dunn Bing: yes
A guy in big black sneakers and a white T-Shirt walks towards them.
[14:07] Lothar Apfelbaum: hi
The guy passes by.
[14:07] Dunn Bing: hm. not the talking type
[14:08] Lothar Apfelbaum: too cool for school
[14:08] Dunn Bing: oh, look.. he's typing..but too far away for us
[14:08] Lothar Apfelbaum: he is talking to the house
[14:08] Dunn Bing: :D
[14:08] Lothar Apfelbaum: he is cracking the security system. he is a burglerer
[14:09] Dunn Bing: we should stop him. the cager? :D
[14:09] Lothar Apfelbaum: or…well…mhh…
“The cager” - what a great word. If Dunn and Lothar would ever start a midi file band…may be they could be: “THE CAGERS”. Here for you tonight - two major stagers - theeee cagers. The program is sponsored by “stars behind bars” and “teens in jeans in front of screens”….enjoy the show!
About 2 weeks ago on the dumpster, when Dunn, in the process of testing the new additions to her personal security system, was in need of a brave guy, Relder Waco volunteered. After he had agreed he stood calmly awaiting the defense attack. When Dunn imposed the “iron cage” on him, Relder instead of desperately climbing up and down the iron bars, flexing his muscles furiously, starting to use a penny as a knife…just walked once from wall to wall the cage and said: “can't get out”.
[14:10] Dunn Bing: better not. he's not worth so much attention.
[14:10] Lothar Apfelbaum: right…
[14:10] Dunn Bing: lets go on . i hear water running. Hey over there
[14:11] Lothar Apfelbaum: that car looks like it's loaded with coffins
[14:11] Dunn Bing: trashy
[14:11] Lothar Apfelbaum: “Avatars of the grid unite”. Did you see that poster?
Dunn already walks into the “club”, sits down and plays some oriental sounding tunes.
[14:12] Dunn Bing: hey! Didn't know I can play guitar
[14:12] Lothar Apfelbaum: looks like that white couch set was stolen from some big time capitalists…or sponsored by Apple
[14:12] Dunn Bing: yes. lots of freedom fighters on the walls
[14:13] Lothar Apfelbaum: we could sit on the table and write a manifesto about how to start a revolution…
[14:14] Dunn Bing: do we need one?
[14:14] Lothar Apfelbaum: well…
[14:14] Dunn Bing: dont hesitate. Just tell me what you think
[14:14] Lothar Apfelbaum: ok
[14:14] Dunn Bing: straightforward
[14:15] Lothar Apfelbaum: that's the problem… I wish I had any thoughts on revolutions … I am trying…but all I can think of right now is how cute BAMBI is.
[14:15] Dunn Bing: :D
[14:15] Lothar Apfelbaum: It's kind of sad
[14:15] Dunn Bing: your too peaceful for those kind of thoughts..and you should it leave it that way..
[14:16] Lothar Apfelbaum: well, I hope at least my leather jacket looks kind of revolutionary …
[14:16] Dunn Bing: it does :D
[14:19] Dunn Bing: can we go on?
[14:19] Lothar Apfelbaum: Dunn. yes. isn't that amazing…? We just walked a little bit away from the dumpster and we already came through a 1000 year old forest, some suburbian houses, an communist club
[14:21] Dunn Bing: yes
[14:21] Lothar Apfelbaum: you played the guitar
[14:21] Dunn Bing: have seen the hole world in just a few minutes
[14:21] Lothar Apfelbaum: Dunn, we have to run! 30 seconds…run!
[14:22] Lothar Apfelbaum: where are you?
[14:22] Dunn Bing: right next to you
[14:22] Lothar Apfelbaum: oh, I though they shot you away
[14:22] Dunn Bing: got my protection charm. they dont want us on their land
[14:22] Lothar Apfelbaum: too bad, i would have liked to check out how they built their river
[14:22] Dunn Bing: me too
[14:23] Lothar Apfelbaum: there is another person.
[14:24] Dunn Bing: hopla
[14:24] Lothar Apfelbaum: Hi. I am spiderman.

[14:33] Lothar Apfelbaum: When we said excately the same thing…what was that?
[14:33] Dunn Bing: im not sure
[14:34] Lothar Apfelbaum: we have to work on extending our vocabulary, use more uncommon words.
[14:34] Dunn Bing: that will be though, due to the fact that this is not my native language.
[14:34] Lothar Apfelbaum: sounds like your native language
[14:35] Dunn Bing: really?
[14:35] Lothar Apfelbaum: yes
[14:35] Dunn Bing: did my homework then..
