Bridge Experiment #6
The airstrip room provided an exit, but not a dead end within the through-traffic
situation of the museum. Therefore we rerouted the remaining traffic of visitors
via an overpass in the next room. The bridge like elevation started in the doorway
of the South entrance of the room and ended at its opposing North doorway. Walking
this way, visitors crossed the room without entering the room. The space underneath
the overpass was now only accessible through a third door, located on the East
side of the room. Visitors who entered through this door had to leave the same
way. In the museum's only Dead End situation, people could watch a video documenting
the “Artificial Traffic Jam”.
