On the occasion of the Marion Ermer Preis 2004 we realized
two experiment-models that dealt with the situation of our land in Nevada and
with the specifics of the Neues Museum, Weimar. The walk-around
arrangement of the outer gallery rooms in the museum, which circle two inner white
cube spaces, is predefined. Walking through the rooms almost felt like a continuation
of hallways, one leading into another. Each room doomed to live with the through
traffic situation where no dead end provided a halt.
To offer an exit strategy we developed two models: one for the ground and one
through the air:
