Many of our projects are based on conceptual ideas that we try to “make happen” often in collaboration with people, places, technologies, plants, animals, puppets, spirits,  etc. We forge our ways intuitively, we quickly adapt to unplanned situations, we stumble through the unknown, we perform unrehearsed, there is no audience. Mostly, we don’t write “scripts” for these endeavors beforehand, instead the act of writing has often become essential as a form of “Nachdenken” – something one needs to do after the fact in order to understand what happened and how one was implicated.

As part of this “Nachdenken,” literally translated as “after-thinking” we have self-published two novellas and one novel with Nightboat books. While the narratives and concepts have been collaboratively developed, enacted and lived by eteam, the actual job of writing them down has been done by Franziska Lamprecht.
